Before midnight: Centropolis and the main strips
For a late dinner or drinks with friends, the Centropolis area in Laval has the biggest concentration of options. Restaurant-bars, patios in summer, a cinema. It is well done, it is clean, and it is packed on Fridays.
The main arteries like boulevard des Laurentides and boulevard Saint-Martin also have their neighbourhood pubs. Fewer people, quieter, faster service.
The catch: most of these places close their kitchen around 10pm and start pushing you toward the door by midnight. If your night starts late, you arrive at the end of theirs.
After midnight: the list gets short fast
Past midnight in Laval you drop into a much shorter category. The nightclubs and the bars that close at 3am. A few bowling alleys keep their bar open. The Casino de Montreal is still an option, but that is a bridge and a 25 minute drive.
This is the classic hole in a Laval night out: you have eaten, it is half past midnight, and the place you are in is emptying.
After 2am: the list is genuinely short
At 2am on a Tuesday, all of Laval has roughly three doors still open. That is a fact, not an opinion.
Crazy Moon is one of those doors. We are a strip club at 223 boul. des Laurentides, open from 7:30pm to 3am, 7 nights a week, Mondays included. Most strip clubs north of Montreal are closed on Mondays. We never are.
What the room is like
Small. A hundred seats. Dark, full of red neon. From your table you can see the whole room. Between 8 and 20 dancers a night, continuously, 3 bars, a DJ who runs the night. Cover is 7 $. Private dance is 20 $ per song, regular booth or VIP, same price.
It is not the fanciest room north of Montreal and we own that. It is the one where, on any night of the week, there are people in it and something going on.
The three fixed nights
- Crazy Monday – Belvedere 26 oz at 120 $ instead of 240 $. Restaurant people go out on Mondays, it is their day off. It has become our best night of the week.
- Champagne Thursday – Moet and Veuve Clicquot at 150 $. People have dinner in Laval and roll in around midnight.
- Make It Rain Friday – you turn your cash into 1 $ US bills and throw them on stage. Our house ritual.
Coming to Laval from Montreal
Cartier station on the orange line is the simplest way in. From downtown Montreal the ride takes about twenty minutes. Crazy Moon is a 2 minute walk from the station.
By car, you cross the Papineau or the Viau bridge. Street parking in the area is free, against roughly 35 $ for a night downtown. That is often what tips the decision.

- A guys night or a bachelor party – a strip club with a reserved booth. Here, the VIP booth is 40 $ for the night, 4 to 12 people, and the Stag package is 120 $.
- A Monday or a Tuesday – the list is short. Check the hours before you leave, half the places are closed.
- After 2am – what is left is the bars open until 3am. We are one of them.
